Blue Cassette, Friendly Fires
When Ed Macfarlane sings, “As I hear your voice, it sets my heart on fire,” only the soberest of men and women won’t want to parade around in revealing swimwear and drizzle viscous, mango-flavoured fluids on themselves.
- Ian Wade, BBC Music Reviews
I want to spend my summer covered in viscous, mango fluids.

Thursday night rave at Friendly Fires gig at XOYO! There were cameras filming the gig, and I’m pretty sure I was caught on them, matching Ed, spazzy dance move, for spazzy dance move. Monkey see, monkey do! Great gig - new album, Pala, sounds brill.
Here is my shakey Paris footage:

HOLYSHITTHISISAMAZING.
As a thank you, after a solid year and a half of touring (I think I saw them 3 times last year), Phoenix have released their brilliant, Grammy award winning, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix album, as a free download, as stems. STEMS, MOTHERFUCKER. This means each individual track (ie. drums, vocals, guitars etc) can be layed down to make your own damn remix.
*cue* Blogosphere/Hype Machine, ass-plosion. Shit just got real.
Above, my favourite remix of Lisztomania (Classixx Version) - which reminds me *cough*rip-off?*coughs* of another favourite, Friendly Fires, Paris (Aeroplane Remix, feat. Au Revoir Simone).
What very generous, French boys… download Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix - Multi-track in full.
