Being a girl is silly.

Aunty Michelle: Hey boys, do you have a pencil sharpener I could borrow?
Ellis: Sure. What for?
Aunty Michelle: It’s to sharpen my eye-liner.
Ellis: What’s that?
Aunty Michelle: It’s a pencil —
Ellis: Can I use it?!
Aunty Michelle: No, it’s a special pencil used to, err… draw on my face.
Ellis: Can I draw on your face???
Aunty Michelle: No!

Make-up is weird, man.

Despite my initial dismay at what goes into a Bloody Caeser (Clamato juice — that’s right. Juice made from CLAMS), and a few mishaps where I have delivered Caeser salads instead of a cocktail, I have definitely warmed to this weird-ass drink (I think it’s the vodka!) The other national dish of Canada, the poutine, had me at chips-with-cheese-curds-and-gravy. FYI: Poutine to Canadians, is kebabs to us.

Watch it being made in a drunk kitchen.

PS. Clamato is so popular here, it’s in the mixer guns at bars. So you’ve got your Coke, Sprite, ginger ale, orange juice, soda, tonic, water and clamato. Weird.

Rehearsal Movie of the Day: MeFite rudhraigh explains: “When they were making The Karate Kid, they decided to shoot each scene’s rehearsal with budget cameras so the actors could watch themselves back afterwards.”

The result? An unintentionally hilarious alternate version of the classic movie that looks like it was Sweded by a bunch of Middle School kids with nothing better to do on a summer afternoon.
